I met him in Myrtle Beach at the museum in the 80's. I used to regularly see him at the Flame Cafe in Minneapolis in the 60's where all the country and western singers used to come. We used to go backstage for a smoke, a drink and some b.s. Ferlin Husky will always be remembered. I have a picture of him and I up on stage - his powder blue suit!

My mother gave me her 45s and her LPs. I'd never heard of him, but just listened to "On the Wings of a Dove" and realized I did know at least one of his songs. I'm always excited when famous people are from Missouri. Looking forward to listening to all of the 45s and learning all of his songs. He sounds like he was quite the character!

I was in the USAF in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1962 when Ferlin came to do a show at our airman's club. I claimed a front row table 4 hours ahead of time and waited. Some people are singers, some are pickers, but Ferlin was an ENTERTAINER! Well worth the 4 hour wait. In 1969 we moved to Hendersonville and Ferlin lived on Old Hickory Lake about a mile from our house. Would see him in the yard many times. Ferlin has never been given the credit he is rightfully due in country music.
