When I was a kid my Dad and I use to listen to Ferlin Husky's LP's on a very large RCA cabinet stereo. Every Saturday afternoon! Dad and Ferlin have both passed now but they together have left me with great memories. I'm from Farmington MO but never had the chance to meet or see Ferlin in concert. Best wishes!

Happy Birthday Ferlin. Gone not forgotten. One of the best singers ever.
The world lost a great gift when Ferlin passed. I'd like to share a memory - I was a female vocalist in Branson, MO in the early 90s. Ferlin had a morning show at the Cristy Lane Theatre, where I was fortunate enough to land the job to open for him and also sing backup for him with another gal in the second half of the show. Hands down Ferlin was the sweetest and kindest professional entertainer I've ever worked with over the years and there have been many. When I left the show, he actually teared up and wept with me as I was saying goodbye. He truly cared about me. He treated me with respect and was a tremendous encourager. I loved singing with him on stage and when he would act like Simon Crum, it always made me laugh. I will miss you Ferlin. The world and I, was fortunate to know you. - Wanette
