When I was a kid about 7years old I use to listen to my dad's Ferlin Husky's cassette tapes. I remember singing along to "On the wings of a Dove". Then I figured out how to fix the tab on the cassette so I could record with my small cassette recorder/player. On the end of the song "Timber I'm falling in love with you" He sings Timber over and over, I recorded after his last Timber I sang Timber several times added to the song. One day many years later when I was a teenager. We were on a trip my dad put that tape in the player in his suburban. As we were driving that song came to the end and then you heard this little boy singing Timber over and over . I was so embarrassed, No one knew I had done that and I had forgotten. Every one laughed. They kept that tape and sill remind me now and then. I'm 52 years old. Thanks Ferlin for your songs that give me and my parents and sister wonderful memories of when I was young.

I think Ferlin had one of the greatest voices'es in country music. I spent many night in a bunker in Viet-Nam with a battery powerd record player playing his records. He was truely great person and entertainer.

Ferlin "Huskey" was my father (Brian Huskeys) cousin. My dad's parents were Winfred and Anita Huskey. He was and always will be an inspiration to our family. :)

I have been a fan of Ferlin for many years. I remember seeing him perform in Macon,Ga. at the old city auditorium and remember him changing from Ferlin to Simon, even after all these years, I still smile when I think of that night.

Unlike many others I have only within the past 10 years really heard Ferlin Husky. My husband and I have been getting the County Family Reunion DVD's and Ferlin was on quite a few of them. Loved his voice and his songs. Great comedy also.
Your website is great and I enjoyed looking through it.
I do have one question we have recently purchased Grand Ole Opry DVD's from Gabriel and Ferlin was on sever of those DVD's. There was a gentleman playing the violin on sever of them who looked just like Ferlin. Was he a brother? I am very curious. Thanks.
