Ferlin "Huskey" was my father (Brian Huskeys) cousin. My dad's parents were Winfred and Anita Huskey. He was and always will be an inspiration to our family. :)

I have been a fan of Ferlin for many years. I remember seeing him perform in Macon,Ga. at the old city auditorium and remember him changing from Ferlin to Simon, even after all these years, I still smile when I think of that night.

Unlike many others I have only within the past 10 years really heard Ferlin Husky. My husband and I have been getting the County Family Reunion DVD's and Ferlin was on quite a few of them. Loved his voice and his songs. Great comedy also. Your website is great and I enjoyed looking through it. I do have one question we have recently purchased Grand Ole Opry DVD's from Gabriel and Ferlin was on sever of those DVD's. There was a gentleman playing the violin on sever of them who looked just like Ferlin. Was he a brother? I am very curious. Thanks.

My great granddaughter, who is six, loves Wings of a Dove. I live in Potosi and driving to Farmington, we pass the sign that says Ferlin Husky highway. so I pulled him up on youtube and showed her him singing that song. she fell in love with it.

My great nephews and niece live in Leadwood and the oldest one wonders where did Ferlin live in Leadwood. If he didn't live there, why is that section of Highway 8 named after Ferlin?
