I adored Ferlin, especially when he sang SINCE YOU'VE GONE. Absolutely adored his voice.

My name is Cynthia McGee. I was a little girl about 8 years old in Chicago around 1968 and they would commercially advertise on our channel 9 the song of this man singing "I saw God by the Seashore" and I was totally enamored by this song. It touched me so greatly even at the tender age of eight. That was about 46 years ago and recently I had to find out who sang this song because to this day it still touches my heart. I was impressed by this song, but even more impressed with the life of Ferlin Husky when I found out who he was. I just wanted you to know that an impact was made on a little black girl in Chicago, Illinois around 1968 through that song "I saw God" that still burns in my heart today

I am a big fan of classic country although i grew up in the no moral value era. i look back and I realize that I have learned my values from men like Mr. Huskey. PRAISE GOD FOR HIM. I wish I could have met him but one day I will in HEAVEN

As a young announcer in the mid-1960s at WPLY, Plymouth, Wisconsin, I became familiar with Ferlin's music, spinning his tunes on ancient turntables to warmth of an equally old vacuum tube powered 500 Watt transmitter. Now, living in rural Florida, I've started a small FM station where Ferlin lives on. Visit WZQR.FM and enjoy Ferlin and the other greats from bygone days.

My great grand father was Delafayette Huskey. He had a brother Lewis. I am told Lewis was Ferlins grand father. You wouldn't have a picture of Ferlins grandfather I could see? I have Delafayette's picture.
