Ferlin, I just want you to know how much I have loved your music through the years, especially Simon Crum. My favorite songs of yours are: Country Music Is Here To Stay, Wings of a Dove, Walkin' and a Hummin', and of course those great funny antics of Simon Crum. I am soon turning 41 years old (Feb 25) and would love to see you on the Grand Ole opry when it is at the Ryman sometime soon.
You may not remember this, but I met you at the Grand Ole Opry House one Saturday afternoon in the summer of 1984, and you asked me where the Studio in the Park was, and I got to escort you down there to where Hairl Hensley was at (I worked in the Plaza Cafeteria then and was running an errand up at the Opry House then).
I love your music and your personality. Hope I can meet you again someday and talk to you. Will always love your music.

Mr. Bob Robinson Makes A Good Point. Ferlin Is Not In The Hall Of Fame,Nor Is A Lot Of Others,And This Makes Me Mad! I Logged On Here For The First Time The Other Day. I Don't Like The Way The Pioneers Of Country Music Have Been "Disregarded" These Days. We Ought To Get A Petition To Induct Mr. Husky. Long Live Traditional Country Music, The Genuine Deals. Everybody Say Amen.

A petition would be great!!! Ferlin should have been inducted twenty years ago!! When they inducted Carl Smith, the announcer said that they'd finally inducted the last of the fifties hitmakers, and I thought, "What About Ferlin, Jean Shepard, Molly O'Day, Cowboy Copas, Joe and Rose Lee Maphis, Sonny James, June Carter, and others?!" The CMA and the Hall of Fame should hear from all of us!! PUT FERLIN IN THE HALL OF FAME!!!

"Since You've Gone"......... those are the starting words to one of the greatest songs in Country Music!!! Ferlin, you've always been one of my favorite artists, and now, you're touring with my friend, and favorite Honky Tonk lady, Leona Williams!! It was an honor to finally meet you at the Missouri Hall of Fame inductions! Looking forward to hearing the new album, especially the duets with Leona!
Shame on the Country Music Hall of Fame for not honoring you yet!
Lord knows you've done more for Country Music than a lot of them that are already honored!! We're praying they put you and Miss Jean Shepard in this year!! Also lookin' for Leona's induction before long! ....Anyway, just wanted to tell you that you're one of my hero's and we're hoping to see you and Leona before too much longer!!

It has been good to hear from all of you. I just finished my vocals on my new album. I am proud of it and look forward to you hearing it as well.
My new album will be on the Heart of Texas Records label. They have some great talent including Leona Williams, Curtis Potter, Darrell McCall, the late Floyd Tillman, Pretty Miss Norma Jean, Big Bill Lister, Frankie Miller and Justin Trevino.
The album should be out closer to the end of the year. Leona even did a couple of duets with me on "Dear John" and "As Long As I Live."
I am feeling real good after my latest surgery. Thanks for all your cards and letters and most of all prayers. It is nice to know that you care. Hope to see you at one of the shows in the future.

Hi Ferlin. I had the pleasure and honor of meeting you at one of your concerts in the Albany-Schenectady, NY area a "few" years ago. Barry Frank, a local D.J. at the time, was kind enough to take me backstage to meet you. I have been to many concerts over the years, but no one has entertained me more than you. I was thrilled when I heard that you are doing another album, and more importantly, that you're feeling better. I wish you all the best, and if you ever get to NY again, I'll be in the front row. Thank you for your music and great performances. Please stay well. God Bless You. Dick Rissling-Latham, NY

Ferlin,
This is your old friend Dwain from the 80's when we shared the stage in the John Penny Band quite a few times at places like Indian Ranch in Webster, MA. Thanks so much for the memories. I miss you so much and think of you often. I wish you a speedy recovery and perhaps we could share the stage again if you're ever in California or if I'm in your neck of the woods. I love you and God Bless You.

I have been a fan of Ferlin Husky since I was knee high to a grasshopper!
"Dear John" is my favorite.
My wife, Irene and I love to listen to the great traditional country songs.
I try to continue the tradition in the songs I write.
P.S.
Please Tell Leona we said hi.

Hi Ferlin,
On a cruise from Galveston, Dec/06, I sat outside in the hall and listened to you, Liona William, Hank Thompson and the McCall family singing.
What a surprise to be invited into this private party and a real privlage to meet you all. Such consideration to this lowly Canuck. That highlight will never be forgotten. My condolences at losing your good friend Hank.
With love from Canada.
