Mr. Husky, I just wanted to say that you still sound great after all these years. You've long been a favorite of mine and my late mother, who introduced me to country music. In that spirit, I would like to tell you a story you and the others reading this might enjoy.

My mother was reading and listening to a greatest hits tape of yours in the stereo when the power went out. At first she thought it was the tape, so she turned up the volume. Nothing. Since it was a sunny day, being without a light wasn't a problem. She sat there and kept reading next to the stereo, thinking nothing of it. Then the power came back on and the first word out of the stereo was the beginning of one of our favorite songs of yours ... at maximum volume .... TIMMMMMM-BERRRRRRRRRRRRR. She nearly landed on the ceiling.

Hi Ferlin, Just received your net CD afew days ago and have played it several times and oh yes I love it! You are still great Ferlin and still have a great voice. Love the two songs with Leona Williams and she is such a good singer. Glad you are feeling good and back on the road again. Take it easy tho and just don't over due it as your health does come first. Well hello Ferlin and to all his fans!
I am a 21 year old visually impaired guy who absolutely adores the legends of country music. I have been a huge fan of classic country since the age of 13 and Ferlin and his alter ego Simon Crum is one of my favorites of all time. It would be such a joy to correspond with any Ferlin or country music fan out there for I love making friends everyday. I was born in Sri Lanka, that is where my name originates from. My all time favorite Ferlin song is the tear jerking Little Tom and of course Wings Of A Duv.

Loved your songs for years. One question, why hasn't Boulevard of Broken Dreams ever been put out on CD? I have the old 33's but no longer have a working phonograph to hear the albums. Do you think it will ever be released on cd's.

Dear Ferlin I hope you got my other e-mail. You might remember some of the names I will mention. Lem Mahuren, Dole Light a very good singer, Archy Jackson from St.Louis MO, another very very good singer that used to sing on the radio in St. Louis, and who's sister bought Donna Fargo her first guitar, and her name was Dela. When we lived in IL. Archy Jackson, And Frank green and there wifes would come outo the hous and jam, sing, and have coffe and cake or pie. The place where my wife used to buy her guitar strings would tell her to let him know before we would come there again, Because he said that he wanted to record her and have her to sing a duette with her. Well that has been a while back. Archy still lives in IL, and Frank Lives in OK. Frank done the arangements on the song "Jesus Christ Is More Than Just A Supper Star". I did not know that you had been sick, so I am glad that you are feeling better and doing your music. This is a great website. It is really great that you are touring again. I do a volunteer radio show-"Good & Country" on KFAI-Minneaplis on Saturdays 1-3PM central time and always include many of your recordings in the rotation. Very happy to hear you have a new CD coming out also. Now I hope the folks at Bear Family (or anybody) would put together a boxed set covering all of your 4 Star and Capitol recordings also.

What a blessing it is to come across this web site!! I am so thrilled. I know everybody says they are your greatest fan, but there is nobody that is a greater fan of yours than I am....course we all say that... But I KNOW I am.....lol

I wish to thank you for giving us the privilege and honor to listen to your wonderful voice and sharing your talent and music with us. I have been a fan of yours since I was 8 years old...we were very, very poor growing up, we only had a radio. My eldest sister got a job at the Houghton County feeding the prisoners at 16....and I shall never forget the day she got paid. She went and bought one of those little square record players, you know the ones that had the handle? lol....then a record called "Fallen Star"....when I heard you singing, I could not believe you were coming across that round plastic thing with a needle!! Mind you, this was a luxury for us. We played that song over and over.....then she started buying more and more....."Gone" was the next one, until they started to multiply and it went on endlessly. Even Simon Crum....lol

I want to congratulate you on the Achievement Award.....you most certainly deserve the recognition. I could go on and on.....but I know you are a busy man, but I just had to tell you what a blessing you are to all of us....especially me! Nobody has the magical voice that you have......Mr. Husky, you are truly one a kind that nobody could compare to......nobody.

My dream, like many people, was to have an autographed picture of you on my wall.....but dreams are dreams.
