I have his Gone record I have listened to him for years I wish I could get a hold of his Wings of a dove and Timber record and more of his records and a record with Dear John I have it on tape but it fades out to much. What a great singer.

I grew up in Jersey City, N. J. and always loved country music. Ferlin and Jean Shephard was one of my favorite singers. You are truly missed Ferlin.

After thinking about it the song might have been "The Reverend Mr Black" instead of "Remember the Alamo"? As a kid I did not know he did faster "Rock-a-Billy" type songs. I am having fun discovering them now.

I grew up in High Ridge, Mo. and lived up the street from Ferlin Husky's parents. It was the 1960's and I never really knew what a big star he was. I remember riding my bike across his parents front yard and got yelled at. They put up a "stay of the grass" sign. Us kids thought they were so mean, HA. I wish now I could have got to know them, and Ferlin when he visited. The only record of his I heard as a kid was "Remember the Alamo". I did not know he had "cool songs" too.

Remember listening to ferlin when i was young, loved wings of a dove,but also loved when he was simon crumb,he will live on in my heart.

in feburary 2003 i was on vacation with friends and was invited to ferlin's home and he gave us a signed picture of him and some cd's and had a nice talk with him he was a very nice gentleman rip ferlin we will always miss you

I just today found out mr Ferlin had passed and I was so sad to hear this. I remember growing up listening to his music and listening to the video today he made with jean shepherd Dear John Letter brought back many memories. Sing high on that mountain Mr Ferlin...sing high on that mountain. RIP

The name "Ferlin Husky" has been with me all my life, because my brother was named after him. He is one of my favourite singers and his songs that often bring a tear to my eye are, "Make me live again" "Mother watch" and "A Fallen Star". Now that Mr. Husky is truly "gone", may we continue his precious legacy by listening to more of his songs. May God be with everyone who has been touched by this "saint" of a man, Mr. Ferlin Husky.
